Vocational Services Employment Specialist IV

MaineHealth is currently seeking a Vocational Services Employment Specialist to join our care team in Biddeford, ME. At MaineHealth Vocational Services, people are our focus. Our vision is to provide leadership and promote systemic change by delivering quality vocational services, fostering access and creating community alliances that support people.
The Employment Specialist provides individualized job placement and support services to individuals receiving public behavioral health services. Based at a local behavioral health agency, they work both as part of that agency’s team and as part of a statewide initiative to advance employment for individuals with mental illness. They also serve as a liaison to employers, developing business and community relationships in their local area.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Master’s Degree in Education and/or Counseling (specialty in rehabilitation and/or career counseling), or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- License/Certifications: Current Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and/or DMH Employment Specialist Certification, or obtain certification within six months from hire date required.
- Experience: One year of relevant experience required.
